WHAT IS OUR PURPOSE?
The goal of this website is to spread awareness about the Rio Tinto scandal in Serbia, and what you can do about it.
WHY SHOULD YOU CARE?
PURPOSE
The Rio Tinto mine is planned to be the biggest in Europe, but not without consequences.

If dug, the mine would disrupt and drain local water sources which are needed, especially because the mine is located in Serbia's "Bread basket"
EFFECTS
Not only would this cause problems with food in the country, but it would also destroy the surrounding soil, causing environmental catastrophes!
SCALE
While this may seem as a far away issue,
this is only one of many examples of countries taking advantage of poor, corrupt countries.

If more of these "examples" continue to pop up, eventually the consequences will catch up and we will have to face the burden.
GET INVOLVED
SPREAD AWARENESS
Knowledge is the deadliest weapon, and if everyone is acknowledged enough, eventually we can reach a point where we are strong enough to fight back. They cant stop all of us!
